One Del Mar

Like learning a language

As an Architectural Photographer, I have learned a lot about what goes into creating the spaces I photograph. By the time my client reaches out to me, they tend to know exactly what they want photo-wise. Therefore, I work to gain an understanding of their vision in order to recreate it with my photography. This makes the communication between the photographer and the designer critical. Therefore, I rely on two decades of shooting assignments producing architectural and interiors photography to speak their language. In addition, I’ve amassed a broad repertoire of skills and techniques and many opportunities to delve into the minds of my those I work with. As a result, I am able to quickly synchronize my vision with my clients.

Where the Surf meets the Turf? Let’s Go!

I’m always excited to hear from my friends at Gensler. They contacted me wanting to shoot a newly completed entry/lobby renovation in Del Mar. Assignments from Gensler get my blood pumping. Chances are high that the resulting images will make pleasing additions to my portfolio and a chance to showcase my chops as an architectural photographer. This project was no exception. One Del Mar, is a 4 story, 119,000 square-foot, class A commercial workspace in Del Mar Heights, California.

Beautiful Architectural Interiors Photography

The team at Gensler involved in this project achieved an impressive feat. They managed to balance a bright, airy feel with functionality and an undeniable natural aesthetic. A masterclass in Scandinavian influenced interior design. What I may have enjoyed most on this shoot was the chance to stand together with the lead designer within her own creation and have some of the finer, more subtle details pointed out. I can only imagine what a fulfilling experience this would be for any artist!
